Hospital Ghost Stories Compilation #1

From linoleic:

I remember, I was still a junior intern nun, Pedia rotation, we were having our endorsement rounds with the residents and consultants. We entered the room, pang isahan lang ung room, leukemia patient ang admitted dun. Then one resident bravely asked the consultant, "Sir, ano po ba mukha and hitsura nung sinasabi mo na isa pang pasyente?" The consultant replied, "Ayan o, nakatingin pa sa atin, nakasando na puti, naka shorts, tapos hawak ang iv fluid nya, wala man lang kayo isa pang iv stand na nilagay d2." We were all silent. After the rounds, we all were still quiet. The consultant thought na we're hurt kasi nagalit sha, so he approached us and sabi "Hindi ako galit ha, ayaw ko lang kasi na may ka share sa room patient ko, lam nyo naman sakit nya dba." Then one resident said, "Sir, hindi po un ang dahilan bat tahimik kami, wala naman po talaga kasama ang patient nyo, kahit check nyo po sa list of patients sa station." Imagine the shock nung consultant, mabait pa naman un...

We also found out na the person whom the consultant saw was the previous patient who occupied the room, apparently, succumbed also 2 days prior nung admission ng patient nya.

From Antigone:

Endorsed na na meron isang bed sa interns quarter na kinakatakutan kasi laging nababangungot (term is being used loosely, not acute panc ) yung natutulog dun and nakakakita ng babae na naka halfslip at sando na puti.

After a few minutes, nangyari ulit.

From elrey_md:

Eto naman, not really a freaky one..nun Nursing Student pa lang ako,may nakwento sa amin yun Head nurse sa San Alberto Ward (Pedia). They had a toddler patient who was claiming a Little Child would always visit & play with him in his room especially when his Mom have to leave him for a while or kapag tulog yun Mommy nya.Sympre di naniniwala si Mommy dahil bawal daw ang bata sa hospital & since the patient was immunocompromised, reverse isolation sya.
One day,the toddler patient had tantrums & he was begging his Mom to look for his "Friend"...
wala nmn magawa yun Mommy nya, so they went out to the Nurses Station & asked where they could find this "Liltle Child"..The nurses told the Mom wala namn silang napansin batang pakalat-kalat sa ward.

"Sino pa ba yun kalaro mo?" asked the nurse to the patient.
"Ayun sya oh..."
The toddler was pointing to a Picture poster of Baby Jesus Christ he saw on the wall.

Nun clerk namn ako,Medicine rotation namin sa isang govt hospital sa "silangan lansangan"..from ER duty ako nun so nagpaalam ako sa mga kasamahn ko na iidlip lng ako sandali sa clerks' quarter after ng rounds namin. The room was actually just opposite the Nurses Station & since may kalumaan na,di na pinapagamit sa mga pasyente kaya sa mga clerk ang bagsak (well, lagi nmn ganun eh..kulang na lng sa storage room or bodega patulugin ang mga hamak na clerks/interns,kawawa namn tlaga..tsktsk)..Again,sympre sabi nila may "mumo" daw dun kaya wag akong matulog dun nag-iisa...sa sobrang pagod at antok ko,deadma na lng.
Yun tipong nakukuha ko pa lng yun tulog ko..suddenly, I heard a woman crying, footsteps & banging of windows...akala ko "code" na,baka kako may nag-arrest sa kabilang room or toxic kami..ngek?when I asked the nurse kung sino yun umiiyak or bakit maingay..

"Wala nmn kmi naririnig...vacant yun dalawang rooms katabi mo..kababakante lang nyan nun patient who expired yesterday."said the nurse

Hehehe.."

From linoleic:

This experience naman, junior intern din ako, government hospital, pasig area, medicine rotation. Dalawa
kami sa duty. One time, nilapitan ako ng kasama ko, asking me if may nakita daw ako na kausap nya kanina. Sabi ko wala. Someone approached her daw, naka yellow na shirt, lalake. She answered yes. At that time busy ako kaka-push ng mannitol sa IV so she has no choice but to go there. Pag punta nya sa iso, wala namang px dun and tao. She asked mga katabing ward kung may tao daw dun, sabi nila wala daw. She also asked other bantay dun sa ward kung may nakakita sa kanya na may kinakausap sha, sabi nila wala. SHe also approached 2 girls, whom she smiled at while talking dun sa yellow guy, kung nakita ba daw nila yung kausap nya, sabi nila hindi din daw. Then she asked me kung may nakita din daw ako na kausap nya. I said wala. Pati mga nurse at janitor ask namin. All had negative answers. So what we did, all wards dun pinasok namin and we checked kung cno ang naka yellow dun and mamumukhaan din naman daw nya kasi eh. Kaya lang wala talaga. Then sabi nung resident, last na nagkaroon ng px sa iso, wala pa daw yung batch namin. And yung px daw dun TB and sakit and namatay na daw kaya impossible na meron dun. Then the nurse said to my co-ji, "Dra, nung namatay kasi ung px sa iso, naka yellow sha na shirt. After that we stopped looking for the yellow shirt guy.

From Jennifer:
