Hospital Ghost Stories Compilation #2

I am not a believer of a ghost stories, until one time in 2005, I was on sunday duty at the pedia department. The usual Sunday duty is benign with the day you spent just watching tv, or chatting with the nurses or eating. I spent the day, sleeping at the lounge which is located inside the pedia ward. At around 2pm, my sister called my cellphone, after chatting at around 10 minutes, she told me "Ate, pakausap kay Zek". Zek is my son, who was then 1 1/2 years old and staying at our house in Pasig. I told her, "E wala si Zek, on duty ako today", she answered back,"Ate, kanina pa ako me naririnig sa backround na nagbe baby talk, akala ko si Zek". I scrambled to go out of the lounge, frightened. How could she hear someone talking in the backround, while I was all alone in the lounge, with the tv off.

meron din akong experience, yung maid namin, nagpaalam na aalis muna sya kasi may sakit yung kapatid nya and nakaconfine sa hospital. hindi ko na maalala kung anong sakit nya basta ang alam ko grave na. nung hapon, naggrocery kami. kasama ko yung dad ko and my little sister. nagulat ako kasi nakita ko, together with my little sister yung kapatid nung maid namin, nagsmile samen. he was wearing white shirt, maong pants, rubber shoes and nakacap sya. we're very sure na sya yun, since nagtrabaho din sya before sa amin. sinundan namin nung kapatid ko pero biglang nawala as in the whole time, hinahanap namin sya sa grocery store. unfortunately, hindi namin nakita. then, paguwi naisip namin na baka kung saan saan lang pumunta yung maid namin ginamit pa yung kapatid nya. pagdating sa bahay, my mom asked us kung nabalitaan na daw ba namin... so sabi namin, "alin?" yun pala namatay na daw yung kapatid nung maid namin. sobrang kinilabutan ako nun!!!

i was the ICU rotator and our hospital just opened a brand new medical ICU.

i had a patient that was saying 'michael, raymond, patawarin nyo ako', bago sya mag toxic at ma-intubate.
relatives were not there at that time, and my concern was to relay this message to them. he may have issues with this michael and raymond. then i was surprised to hear that the relatives do not know any michael or raymond. so akala namin, may anak sa labas o kung ano man itong si tatang. chickboy! ginawan namin ng story.
sad to say nag expire din sya.
after a few days, meron na namang isang pumasok sa ICU, direct admission from ER, naka intubate na. after a few days na at weaning na sya from the ventilator, the patient can communicate through writing.
tapos eto na naman si raymond, paki-sabi daw sorry.
so akala namin coincidence, but my personnal count were 4 patients, iba pa yung mga kwento ng ibang residents at nurses.
months passed, ibang resident na ang rotator, and they can recall similar experiences from patients asking apology from either michael or raymond.
dun kami kinabahan at nag goosebumps, nung minsan kaming nagka kwentuhan sa quarters.
meron pa palang ibang rotator bukod samin.
minsan si michael, minsan ri raymond.

creepy.

then on the same ICU, i was awaken by loud conversations, (tinulugan ko at benign naman) definitely by 2 males talking ang it was coming from the patients shower room just next door to where i was.
maingay talaga, gising na gising na ko, dinig ko pa sila.
then i thought yung mga nurses on duty na naman, nag yosi sa CR. so naisip ko maki-join. maka yosi nga muna.
nagulat ako pagbukas ko nung CR, walang tao, as in wala! naaay.
lumabas ako, tulog mga tao sa nurses station, at may isang clerk na nag monitor.
naisip ko, baka si michael at raymond, nag endorsement.

kahit naiisip ko lang ito, kinikilabutan ako.

meron pa isa, eto naman sa napakagandang ICU ng OM. maganda pa sya dati.
may patient na on long standing vent. she can communicate also through writing.
minsan sa endorsement rounds, dinaanan namin itong patient.
may sinulat sya sa papel na pinakita nya sa bantay nya: 'paalisin nyo yung kasama nyong maitim, nasa likod!', at takot na takot sya.
akala namin itong kaduty naming clerk na medyo moreno, sigi na nga maitim sya ng konti. pinapaalis namin, tawanan pa kami.
hindi daw yun.
tapos sulat ulit: 'hindi sya doctor, lagi yan dumadaan dito!'
after a few days, nag expire din sya.
